If you are coming into Dalton, From the East: Rte 9 and Rte 8 merge, this is also known as Main St. You will see a Cumberland Farms on your right, continue to the second traffic light and turn right (Flansburg Ave.) the Fire Station is on your right. From the West: After you cross the Dalton Town line, continue East, You will come to an intersection with two traffic lights, one after another. Burning permits cost $5.00 per season. At this time you will receive a set of burning regulation. Burning is allowed between the hours of 10am - 4pm. YOU MUST CALL IN EVERY DAY YOU ARE GOING TO BURN. Q. What number do I call for a medical emergency? 9-1-1 for all Emergencies. All Emergency calls in Dalton are answered by the Dalton Communications Center, which is located at the Fire Station. The Dispatch Center will immediately send help. The Police Department is full time, The Fire and Ambulance personnel are Volunteers. They have to drive from their houses and make take a little longer. The dispatcher may ask for information, please answer the questions, do not hang up the phone until the dispatcher states its ok. What an EMERGENCY is!! You should only dial 9-1-1 to SAVE A LIFE, STOP A CRIME.
